- Long ago people had no churns and when they had the cows milked they put the milk into milkpans and they left it in some place to set and when the cream was on top they skimmed it and putting it into a kief placed a cloth over it and after a start they put it into a barrel if they had them, but now the people have separators, and the most of them are going to the creamery. When they have the cows milked they strain it into a tank and go to the creamery in the morning. When they are a month they get paid for their milk.(continues on next page)
