- The old people were very superstitious and they considered certain days to be lucky and others unlucky. They thought that if a person started work on a Saturday that he would never finish it. They considered Friday a lucky day to start building a new-house or to start any other important work. The days that were considered lucky for marriage were: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
