They asked him what happened and he said his time was ended. Afterwards he told them that he met this old fairy and when he went to the gap it was raised.
Then he went in to bed and felt ill for seven years. His people were very sorry for him and they made up their minds that the only cure was to go to Biddy Early. This woman lived in Feakle.
They left for their journey and after a long travel they arrived at her house. They told her their story and she listened very attentively.
