    it as many people say that it is a cure for a sore throat.
    It is an old custom for the little children to play many indoor games on November nights such as “snap apple” “puicin” and the “apple in the water”.
    The woman of the house makes a special cake on November’s day and into it she puts a ring, sixpence, and a piece of cloth.
    There is great excitement when the cake is cut at teatime as each member is eagerly looking out to see what he will get in his piece of cake.
