Barm is made from boiled potatoes broken into a can and mixed with water and left for a few days to ferment - 1. The herbs that do most damage to the peoples' land are thistles, praiseach bhuidhe, chicken weed, nettles and many others2. The weeds smother the crops especially praiseach bhuidhe, thistles & nettles,3. Those plants have a cure. Dandelion has a cure for heart trouble.4. At first the dandelion is boiled for an hour or so.5. Next it is taken up and strained into some very clean vessel and let set.6. When it is set it may be taken.7. Seagrass water is a cure for worms.(continues on next page)
