It is said that Loch Láir got its name from a horse and foal, that were in Freigh, that used to come there every day...

About a hundred years ago there came a very fine year.

This lake is called "The Dry Lake"
Isle Breach got its name from a lake that is there and in the middle of this lake is a (lake) little Island called Isle Breach, which means "The Speckled Island".
