    Pollcoum is a beauty spot

There was a song composed about Poll Coum but it is all forgotten except the four lines given below
"Poll Coum is a beauty spot
    That everybody knows
    And down between three houses
    A stream it gently flows"
It has its source in Talty's bog
It is very useful to the Cooper
For it's there he steeps his logs
There was another song made about Johnny Learl's old cow
In the village of Doolough there
    lived a noble butch
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
