- Once upon a time there lived a boy in the country who did not like school.
The priest often went to the house to see why the boy was absent, but the mother always locked the door and refused to let him in.
One day he came too close to the house before the woman noticed him, and running to the room, she told the boy to say she had gone to the market.
The Priest came in and asked the boy where his mother was. The boy said she was gone to the market. The Priest asked what time she would be home at. The boy went to the room door and shouted " Mother, what time will you be home from the market"? "The Priest is waiting for an answer."Mary Boyle Aged 14 years
