    1. Oh, Sacred Heart of Jesus, be thou our dearest friend
    When the battle of life is over, and we come to the journey's end.
    2. Oh, Mary our Loving Mother, all through the storm and strife be thou our strength and solace at the closing hour of life.
    3. Be Thou Our Friend, Jesus, as we near our parting breath, and secure for us, Mary and Joseph
    The grace of a happy death.
    4. Jesus, tender Shepard, hear me. Bless thy little lamb tonight. through the darkness be thou near me, keep me safe till morning light.
    All this day Thy hand has led me, and I thank thee for Thy care. thou hast warmed me
    Clothed me, fed me. Listen to my evening prayer
    Let my sins be all forgiven. Bless the friends I love so well. Take us all at last to heaven, happy there with Thee to dwell.
