  1. A wee man whose name is Johnny Hardy lives below the Northern border. He is known as "Fairy" (1) because he is only about three feet high (2) because it is said he has something to do with the fairies.
One night "Fairy" went to visit a friend of his called Michael Hardy, who lives in Omeath and owns a public house. About nine o'clock "Fairy" got drunk, and left for home. About ten minutes afterwards he found himself in Belfast and when asked what he wanted he said he thought he was at home. Soon afterwards he found himself at Larkin's Bridge in Omeath. He was found sleeping there the next morning.
