- There are a few holy well around this district which are called after saints - St Ultan's well it is in a field beside a ditch at Drumgoolin. It is called the well field.
There is a trout in the well. There is a stone beside the well with the mark of St. Ultan's knees where he prayed long ago.
People come from all parts to get cured and the left rags after them.
