- Names of fields are common in this district. The names I know are "the Gluna" This name was but on the field about 100 years ago, and it is a small field of 1 acre 8 pers. It is called Gluna because of its blue clay.
Pairc na Crainn - This field is called after a big tree that was in it long ago. There are 7 acres 3 roods and 20 pers.
Caugh Mor because bogs are at the bottom of the field.
Pairc Mor because it is a big field and it is along a lane.
Wheaten hill - because it was a great field for wheat long ago.
Housefield - because it beside the house.
Church field - because St Mochtas is in it and there are ruins of a monastery in the field(continues on next page)
