    3. In preparation for churning with the old churn. The churn is washed out with hot water and the milk is put in to it. The dash is then put into the churn and it is pulled up and down for a half an hour. When the butter is near done it comes up on the dash. It is then taken out and put into pounds.
    4. In preparation for churning with the new type of churn, it is washed out with hot water and left to dry
