He was shot by his own men in mistake. His name was Brian Reilly. he was buried in Dunboyne. One night there was an ambush just outside Dunboyne at Place called the Fair Green. Six rebels fired on two Tans. they were riding on bicycles and the first two shots that were fired they fell on the ground until they saw their chance of escape.
