Old house in the parish
There is an old house in Garadice which is now in ruins. It was very unlucky because the eldest son of every family that lived in it in some mysterious way lost the use of one of his legs. The old people say the reason for this was that the foundation of this house was dug on Lady Day (15 March). It was burned a few years ago and only the walls are now standing. It was a herd's house built by the Bomford's a family that lived in Drumlargan long ago.
