A cradle for catching birds:-
Four short sticks are tied at the end to form a square.
Four other sticks are fastened on to each corner of the square and put with the tops joined so that the whole forms a little basket or tent.
Short sally rods are put in and out through the framework to form the cradle.
A bow or bent sally rod is fixed to each side of the cradle in such a way that it just clears the ground.
A pronged stick is out under one end of the "cradle" and another pronged stick is put in the same position but with the straight end resting on the bow.
