    A cingise or a person born on Whitsuntide was unlucky and a blow from such a person was supposed to have evil effects.
    The cure of such a blow or cut to take a piece of cloth from some of his clothes without this knowledge to burn it and to rub the ashes to the wound. Even a horse or a mare foaled at Cingise was supposed to be very viscious.
