    by grating raw potatoes into a dish or bowl. Some of the water was then drained off, by means of a little bag known as a boxty bag. The dry mixture was then turned out into a basin, and mixed with a little flour, and enough of milk to leave the mixture fairly thin. It was about a half an inch thick. Salt was also added. it was then put on a frying pan and fried on grease.
