- Bread was made from wheat, and corn, (Indian) pan cakes were made from the Indian corn, rye was not used often it was more harder and courser bread than wheaten. The wheat and corn was grown locally
Long ago people used quernos it is a hand mill stone it is for grinding grain. It is round shape with one round pice of wood on the top of the other and a hole in the middle and a peice of iron out of the top to people(continues on next page)- Collector
