  1. Once upon a time two boys went into an orchard to steal apples.
    It was in the middle of Autumn and the nights were very dark, but on this night the moon was shining brightly.
    They had to pass a church-yard on their way home, and they said they would go in and count them there, but as they were crossing the gate they lost one, and they said they would leave it there until they were going back.
    They then emptied the bag and began to count them like this, "one for you and one for me"
    While they were counting them a man was going home from ceilidle and when he heard the voices he wondered what it was so he came nearer, to listen, to the gate.
