  1. I live about four miles from Rathmore castle which was a home of the plunkett family.
    There was a great battle fought in the early eighties by Cromwell's armies.
    There is a fine ruin of a old chaple in Rathmore. there is a church yard in it also, and tombstones where the kings and Queens of Rathmore, were buried in former times.
