    A man named Boylan has the cure of swellings or eresiplys. He mixes cream and flour and other things together. He lived in Heathstown.

    A cure for the thorn is to get a foxe's tongue and place it on the thorn till morning.
    63 Hives
    Hives are little lumps that appear on the arms and legs. You must boil the root of the "Dock leaf" and drink the juice of it (an egg-cup full) for a week, every morning.
