  1. It is said that there was an old school at the back of a ditch in a field in Curraghtown, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath. The man that owns it is now called Rowntree. He is a Prodtestant. The teachers name is not known. It is said that about 20 children attended the school each day. The children were taught a little Irish there. The teacher was supposed to be burried in a field in Normanstown
