    cure for a sore throat was to roast salt, and tie it in a cloth, and hold it to your throat.
    The cure for headaches was to make strong tea and hold your head over it for ten minutes. There are two men in Tierworker, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan. One of them can cure a sprain, and the other can cure the Jandies with a charm, and a whittle with a rub. The cure for the measles is whiskey, and nettle tea.
    The cure for hooping cough is to eat at the table with a married couple, and the wife never had to change her name. Another cure is to give some of the childs food to a feret, and
