  1. There was an old poet named Neddy Mulvany, Tullyatten, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath who used to make poetry and songs. He made a song about a house where there was a dance held. The name of the song was "The slated house under the hill". Long ago there was dances in every house, and he'd make a song about them all.
    There was also another old poet in Carrickspringin, Moynalty, Co. Meath named Pa Burns. He made a song called "The jolly old steam roller gang". His grand father was a great poet and he learned from him.
