  1. One night about sixty years ago a man was coming home from Mallingan. When he was about a mile outside the town as he was coming near an old boreen a funeral came out of the boreen. The man brought his horse and cart in on the grass and it passed on and then disappeared. It was supposed to be a man who was living in a house nearby and had died some years previously.
