    At length we found it was the Ghost and that I do declare.
    Of Tolbard the informer who alarmed the old Grey Mare.

    We asked of him his business and he answered on the spot.
    He said he was sent to fetch us to a climate blazing hot.
    Old Nick he said instructed him of us to take great cake for he thought we all be drowned.
    As well as the old Grey Mare.

    Now he give us strong assurance that we no hurt or harm.
    That coal was there so plentiful we always keep quite warm.
