    Once the hounds were hunting in Gilliardstown where the foxes were very plentiful at the time. They put up a big fox who started for Kilpatrick. When the fox came near Kilpatrick one of the hounds bit her. Then the fox went into a burrow. The men started to dig for her. But at last they saw a woman in it and she [was] knitting a stocking. She was turned into a fox again. The hounds gobbled her up, and from that [day] the hounds would never follow a fox.
