  1. There are several toys which can be made at home. There are not many toys made at home nowadays, most of them are bought. One of the toys which can be made at is a doll.
The body is made of a piece of an old stocking stuffed with sawdust, wool or a piece of an old cloth. A lump of wool is made into a ball for the head. The legs and arms are made of smaller pieces of an old stocking also stuffed with sawdust and these are sown to the body. A piece of white calico is got for the face and the eyes are painted with laundry blue. the cheeks and lips are painted with red dye and the eyebrows are marked with ink. This face is then sown round the ball of wool. The head is then stitched to the body and a piece of black wool stitched to it for hair. This makes the finest doll that ever was made and it lasts much longer than a bought one.
