    The Lough of Croboy
    Told by: Mrs Mangan, Crowboy.
    Written by; James Powell, Kinnegad
There was a man out looking at his turf one morning in Crowboy bog. He saw a lady coming out of the Lough of Croboy with a lot of farm animals after her. She came up to the man and asked him for land and he gave it to her.
After a couple of weeks they got married.
The lady told the man that if he let her see the Lough of Crowboy anymore she would go back into it again.
one day she was bringing out meals to him in the bog. She went round by the Lough of Crowboy and the minute she saw it , she went back into it again and all her farm animals with her.
