Churning
We have a churn at home and it is about four feet high. It is an end over end churn and it is made from oak. It is about five years working.
We churn twice a week in winter, and four times a week in summer.
When we are going to churn first my mother gets the cream and puts it into the churn. When she has that done she shuts the lid and gets one of us to wind the handle for her.
After about half an hour the churning is finished and you know when it is finished by a small glass that is in the lid.
When you see that glass clear the churning is finished.(continues on next page)- Collector
