  1. About thirty seven years ago the mill in Kilbeggan Distillery was burned. They were using tallow candles. The lighted candle fell to the floor where oil was spilt. There was nothing but the wall left, but it was re-built.
    The Black an Tans burned McGuinnes' house in the year 1921 because thy were noted Irish Republican Army men.
