  1. James Farrell, Derryhall, Rosemount, Moate - lifted a kiln of stout from ground and put it over his head three times in succession.
    Joseph Campbell of Braccagh, Horseleap, Moate - brought wheel of horse cart from his own house to Michael Reilly's of Ballinlig, Rosemount, Moate in one hand. Same man could bring a sixteen stone sack of oats under each arm.
