    Driving cows in - How! How!
    Cows are tied by the neck with chains. The cowhouse is called the byre. A horseshoe is nailed over the cowhouse door to bring luck.

    For hens - tuk! tuk! hunting them out Cearc! For turkeys Eeb! Eeb! For geese - Beda! Beda! Hunting them out - Heg. For Ducks - Wheet! Wheet! or Chrecia! Chrecia! when hunting out ducks Ducksh!

    Hatching
    The usual "sitting" of eggs is thirteen. A horseshoe is sometimes put under the nest to prevent the young birds from being killed by the noise of thunder.
