    I live in the townland of Ballinderry, Parish of Kilcomreragh Barony of Moycashel. There are eleven families in the district. There are about 40 people in it. The family name most common is Carbery. There are three houses thatched and eight slated. Ballinderry got its name from an old oak tree. There are some people over 70 living in the district Peter Gorry Ballinderry Moate Joseph Kelly, Ballinderry, Moate, and James Troy Ballinderry, Moate. They do not know Irish some of the is boggy. There is a small lake in it called Ballinderry Lake. Long ago
