    home district is Ballinbarna. Parish of Kilcomreragh, and Barony of Moycashel. There are 14 families and 44 people in it. There are four slated houses, four thatched, and three covered with Zinc. The townland got its name from ' the town land of the gap'. There is only one person over 70 namely, Ann Molloy. She knows no Irish stories. She can tell English stories
