    noon he was put to clean windows in front of this house. He was given a long ladder fro the outside of upper windodws and just as he mounted it and was proceeding with his task the day being calm. Then at once the empty ans silent house became animated. All the rooms on the top landing seemed to be full of people going hiter and thither and he could hear sounds of a great number of people talking. He went up the ladder and ventured into the rooms but when he went in the house all of suddent became silent.
