    Thomas Noonan found about four stone weight of silver coins and a few gold coins.

    fine mould over them.
    They were made in the time of Queen Elizabeth. There were dates on them 1585 and 1603.
    He sold some of them to Mr Mears in Mearscourt, who went over to London and sold them.
    He gave some of them also to some of his neighbours. There are none of these Noonans living. They lived in Paddonstown about three miles from Ballinacargy. It was about 30 years ago that he found these coins.
