- People have different beliefs about certain days.Saturday and Monday are considered unlucky days to change from one house to another. Friday is said to be lucky.
People say that Friday is a lucky day for ploughing and sowing crops.People like to have all their potatoes planted before Saint Patrick's Day. Some people will not plough on Tuesday; they say it is unlucky and that the crops would not grow right in that soil.
Whit Sunday and Whit Monday are supposed to be unlucky days; because if you go near the water on those two days you may be drowned.
Saturday is said to be an unlucky day to start building a house, because after about a year's time it is supposed to fall down.
Friday the thirteenth is always counted an unlucky day. People do not like to do much work on that day for fear anything would happen(continues on next page)- Informant
