- In this district there are sixteen families and forty five people. The houses are thatched except three, those are slated. Three of them are a very old style of thatched houses with hip-gables. There were many more families in the district in olden times. Some of them have died out and others have emigrated to America. There were twenty families evicted out of this district during the "Rack Rent" times. Some of those went to America: others went to the poor house. There are no hills in this district; it is a level plain. The land is limestone and good for tillage. The commonest names are Farrell and McCormack.
