  1. "Who'll Buy Briny?"
Any number sitting round the fire can play this. It is often played at wakes
The first boy has a stick, one end of which he lights in the fire. He then says to the boy sitting next to him:
    "Will you buy Briny?"
    The second boy answers:
    What can he do?
    The seller answers:
He can plough, sow, reap mow.
And if he dies in your hands
    You will get Tallyho!"
The stick is passed from one to another but each must keep it in his hand while the above conversation takes place. Each one hopes that the stick will not die while in his hand, because if it does he will get five slaps with it
