- Tip-Cat is a favourite game here.
A circle about a foot and a half wide is traced on the ground with a stick.
The player has a short piece of stick about two inches long, and pointed at both ends. The piece of stick is left on the ground near to the ring. The player then gives it a smart tip with another stick about two feet long. This causes the "cat" to fly up in the air. If it lights outside the ring the player is "out", and must do five jumps which the other players mark out for him.
He then has to tip the "cat" again. If he succeeds in getting it into the ring, the next player must start the game. If he does not succeed, he will have to keep trying till he does.- Collector
