- In my farm at home we have a good many fields and each of them has a name. The name of one of them is Skellys Field. A man the name of Skelly lived in it and it is from that the Skelly's sprung. There is no trace of the house in it now. The field was ploughed and there was a floor of flags under the tillage.
Another field is called the Coillin which means a little wood. There was a little wood in it. The trees are all cut down now.
The Clover Field is the name of another, because a great lot of clover grows in it every year. The name of another is the long field, because it is big and long.
