- There is a fort in the town land of Clonmee. It is said that there were fairies in it long ago. One day there was a man working near by he was ploughing and he heard children crying and then he heard the noise of churning and he saw a woman and she had the dash in her hand it was broken she asked the man to fix it and he fixed it, then the woman disappeared and then she returned again with a mug of tea and a plate of Pancakes. Then she told him that they were as clean as his mother ever made them. Another day a man was cutting sticks in that fort and a branch of a tree hit him in the eye and he died. This story was told to me by my Father Joseph Hevey age 40 he heard it from his Father Patrick Hevey who will be 3 years dead The 1st of December 1937
