  1. The district I live in is Aughavadden. It does not seem to be historical yet when old people collect around the fire on a Winter's night I have often heard them them tell old stories.
Some time ago a gentleman in this district aroused the peoples curiosity by finding a underground cave in the town of Carrick. This cave is indeed interesting. The entrance is nothing but a small hole that you would have to crawl into. The interior consists of several small apartments which can be explored although I have heard people say that it leads on to Fermoyle house which is about two miles from Carrick. I have also heard that it was in these caves that the people used to hide from the Danes long ago.
