- There was a well in a field called the Furloo and it is said that there was a cure in the well. The landlord Mackey Wilson didn't want the Catholics going to the well, and being cured so he closed up the well and that night when he was in bed didn't the water spring up and, when he got up next morning wasn't there three feet of water under the bed.
