    The people of this part of the country rear large numbers of hens. chickens, ducks and other fowl for sale. There are many old customs connected with the setting of those fowl. Some people say it is not lucky to exchange eggs for hatching. More people say it is not lucky to wash eggs before setting because if the eggs are washed there will be no birds in them. The old people say it is not lucky to set a young goose's eggs in the house where there would be a mare in foal. A young goose's eggs are called Gúisóges eggs. When the people are calling the
