    butter would come on the milk. Long ago people used to have more cows than they have now and they used to churn all the milk. Now they only churn the cream. Then they wanted a very big churn, so they had a dairy and away from the dairy they piped a stand for churning. Then they churned by means of two horses. It used to take a long time to churn and sometimes they came short of butter and they took some off the churn.
    When the churning was not finished it is said that the butter would disappear and that the good people would have it. They had several ways of churning and they were very particular
