    a fair where there were cattle and sheep all around him so he could not get out. Spirits of people whom he knew to be long dead appeared to him. Diffley who came on the scene advised him to place his fingers in the form of a cross. He did so and he escaped, and Diffley told him never to have anything to do or say with the good people again.
