- People had herbs in former times for curing. The milk of a ferrit would cure the whooping Cough. There is a holy well in the old Graveyard near Pat Gilson's house that would cure sore eyes. If a person with the whooping would go out under an ass he would be cured. Frank Toher, Tully is the seventh son and he has a cure for Ring Worm. There is a grave in Ballinacille Graveyard and it would cure teeth aches. The Graveyard in Pat Gilson's field is called St Martin's Graveyard. The old well that was in the Graveyard near Pat Gilson's house was also called St Martins well, and an old woman washed clothes in it and since that there was never any more water in it. There is also a cure for warts in Ballymaccormack Graveyard.
